About Mark Cartier, RDMS, Sonographer & President
Mark Cartier is the President of Sound Medical Imaging and the chief sonographer, specializing in cardiac and fetus ultrasound. Mark has over twenty years of high-risk OBY-GYN experience with extensive neo-natal focus. Mark was one of the first Fetal Echocardiographers in the United States.
At SMI, Mark performs sonograms for numerous applications using 4D, 2D, color and pulsed Doppler applications.
Mark received his A.S., Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA and his A.S., Radiologic Technology from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill,MA.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, NH.
Mark is a R.D.M.S. (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Mark was the Radiology Manager at The Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH. While at The Memorial Hospital, Mark not only performed sonograms for numerous applications but he also developed The Memorial Hosptital's quality assurance program. As part of his responsibilities, he also trained sonographers on new applications.
Mark's credentials in the field of sonography are well-established both as a published author and lecturer as well as a pioneer in the field of technolgoy. He has been instrumental in developing today's technology in ultrasound and is very well known and respected.
